Cartech offers a complete service for Personally Imported Vehicles when released from customs, to being ready for registration.

Many of our clients inform us of their frustration in trying to get the correct information regarding the registration procedure for imported cars.

At Cartech, we offer you the service of engineering compliance, issue of the personal import plate and roadworthiness certificate as a complete package . You don't waste time chasing paperwork and taking the vehicle from one workshop to another. The whole procedure is handled for you, in one process.  This service includes performing the engineering modifications required to meet certification requirements and organising  the issue of a Personal Import Plate . We also organise a Roadworthiness Certificate (RWC) on your behalf, through one of our preferred workshops. We expedite the issue of the Personal Import Plate, and fit it for you, so that your vehicle will be ready as soon as possible. When you take delivery of your vehicle, it is ready to take to VicRoads for registration.

You will need to book a Registration Appointment with VicRoads to finalise the registration process.

A  full service of registering the vehicle on your behalf, is available for those who do not have time to attend the registration appointment at VicRoads themselves. Discuss this with Deborah for a fee structure and documents required.

Prior to registration, if the vehicle needs to be driven to premises for inspections and repairs, you will need to obtain an unregistered vehicle permit from VicRoads.

Call VicRoads on 13 11 71 (Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30) and (Sat 8:30-2:00) to arrange an Unregistered Vehicle Permit or to book a Registration Appointment.
